Job description: JOB DESCRIPTION: Functions / Objectives The position is an integral part of the ADD Pacific Asia headquarters finance function. It involves working with the Asia Pac commercial and finance teams across Abbott Asia Pacific region. It involves working with the Asia Pac commercial and finance teams across Abbott Asia Pacific region. In carrying out all job related activities, this person must be in compliance with local Singapore rules and regulations, environment laws, internal and U.S. FDA regulatory requirement, financial rules and practices, Code of Business Conduct, and local law and company regulations as stipulated in Abbott Singapore Employee Handbook. Major Responsibilities include: Responsible for lease accounting in all APAC in scope countries, including setting up a robust and sustainable process to gather relevant information, centrally reviewing and documenting all contracts in scope in accordance with the lease accounting policy, and supporting any LBE process and schedules relating to lease accounting. It acts as a main contact point with Global including facilitating the periodic reviews with countries and a data steward to ensure Global Contract Repository for APAC contracts are up to date and properly documented. Supports other FP&A activities in APAC such as monitoring and reporting of Sales and Expense, Balance Sheet, Headcount, Service Equipment, idle instrument, COVID impact and other ad-hoc FP&A requests. Perform analysis of major variances and business drivers affecting performances including insightful commentary enabling management to drive for results. Other ad-hoc projects and assignments Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting 2-3 years relevant experience in an MNC environment in Asia Pacific and Big 4 Accounting firms Strong background in process mapping and implementation, reviewing contracts and documentation Resourceful and self-starter Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written Good PC skills. Can use the major office based software programs, e.g. Excel, word processing, presentation programs, spreadsheet, database, e-mail etc. Ability to work under time pressure and handle competing priorities
