We are currently seeking a Communications Manager to support Twitter’s product and Communications activities in Brazil, based in the company’s office in São Paulo. The ideal candidate will have strong existing relationships with Brazilian media and the ability to create and implement strategic public relations plans that leverage Twitter’s product announcements and consumer-focused stories and initiatives.

The ideal candidate should be a strong storyteller who can create and implement PR campaigns highlighting the unique role Twitter plays in people’s lives and the improvements the company is developing in its service to make it better for Brazilians who use it. This person will report to the Brazil Communications Lead.

We are looking for someone who has strong consumer and product comms experience and knowledge. This role requires the ability to explain Twitter’s strengths and differentials to the media as well as telling amazing stories about the value of Twitter for people that use the service. Our ideal candidate will be creative, proactive, and have a love for Twitter.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, identify and support proactive product and consumer-facing plans for product launches, major cultural events, and partner announcements.
  • Manage and operationalize campaigns, lead tasks, create and localize blog posts and Tweets; develop key messages, briefs, bios and manage speaking engagement requests.
  • Generate coverage in relevant national and trade media outlets through creative tactics and building strong relationships.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to align communications plans and execution.
  • Coordinate, in partnership with Comms folks on the ground, Brazil PR agency incoming daily inquiries and supervise monthly, quarterly and yearly coverage reports – ensuring accurate and timely communication.
  • Analyze case studies, market trends, and data to identify key audiences and media outlets to grow outreach and coverage.

Qualifications

  • Fluency in English and Portuguese is required.
  • 6+ years’ experience working in the Communications field; bachelor’s degree required.
  • Knowledge of the Brazilian communication market and technology industry.
  • Great writing and messaging skills.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and proactively finds solutions to common problems.
  • High degree of accuracy, strong timeline management, follow-through and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, highly collaborative and open to feedback, adapting and fine-tuning communications to evolving needs of the organization.
  • Self-starter, not afraid to be scrappy and roll up your sleeves.
  • Availability to travel to the US.
