Job description: Manpower Planning & Recruitment • Plan and prepare annual manpower acquisition plan and budget for the Territory • Ensure achievement of the recruitment targets for the territory/concept as per the approved manpower budget • Ensure nationalization plans are implemented and local regulations met. (Nationalisation target) • Decide on the priority recruitment channels for the Territory based on talent needs. • Focus on all Area Manager, Concept Manager, Store Manager, Supervisor, Head Cashier hiring ( shortlisting, scheduling, interview, selection, negotiation and offer acceptance) • Work with third party suppliers for casual, part time workforce and seasonal placement in the business • Support the HR Head in hiring the middle and senior management positions Employee Relations & Talent Management • Introduce Employee Retention/Recognition Programs such as HR Weekly Location Visits, Monthly Funday activities, Sports Fest, Annual Staff Party, Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives (Beach Cleaning campaign, Blood Donation, Walkathon, etc), • Execute all the Happiness Movement initiatives and plans in the territory • Employee of the month, Long Service Award etc for the Territory • Ensure safekeeping and maintenance of all employee related files and records • Manage the Human Resource Information system effectively to ensure that correct and complete information is stored in the system and is used effectively for the benefit of the organization • Enable management of employee requests on an on-going basis. These may include but not limited to vacation requests, transfers, employee certificates, etc • Manage the employee separation process, thereby ensuring smooth exit of employee from the organization. This may include managing activities such as exit interviews, full and final settlement, etc • Ensure objective administration of the performance appraisal process and accuracy in feedback collation • Ensure tracking of performance management and present reports on a regular basis to the management • Recommend employees for promotion in a particular year by identifying high performer and high potential employees on the basis of the performance management system outcomes • Ensure compliance with statutory provisions with respect to people practices and processes Talent Management & Succession Planning • Identify & build succession for all critical roles in the territory. • Work closely with concept and functions and growing talent and timely placement into Concept Manager, Head of Function or N-1 critical roles in the territory for Concepts and Functions • Identify and grow successors for all Store Manager, Head Cashier and critical in store roles • Identify and grow national talent for all nationalized roles in each concept, store • Ensure IDPs are in place and career conversations are happening with all HiPo, successors in the business Performance Management • Facilitate the performance management process in the Territory • Ensure communication & implementation of the performance management system and timely completion across the Territory • Create a culture of setting goal, timely review and feedback among the senior employees and head of functions • Ensure objective administration of the performance appraisal process and accuracy in feedback collation Business Context • Support business initiatives to develop a performance driven, customer-oriented culture • Find out the irritants which are causing non – performance, it could be issues with the supervisor, infrastructure support, pay package, no delegation of work etc • Partner with the business to drive important HR initiatives • Monitor and managed the people cost by business, as per budgets People Management • Manage and support recruitment • Monitor staff welfare and facilitate complaint resolution • Set KRA’s for direct reports and conduct performance appraisal • Oversee staff deployment and drive motivation levels of the direct reportees • Work with external partners to deliver the people agenda
