Job description: APAC Platform is seeking a leadership role within our APAC Platform regional team to cover the lifecycle for the Japan onshore digital transformation and onshore platform deliveries. Your responsibilities include to define and implement the location platform vision and strategies, to refine requirements by engaging partners, to drive infrastructure and product development through team leadership and cross-domain collaboration, to align with the regulatory and governance standards with the Design Authority, legal and control teams, to cover the Change-the-Bank and Run-the-Bank aspects of the onshore platform, to represent project progress and settle project budget.

Your responsibility includes:

  • Create a rolling 3-year target platform roadmap across all business lines and legal entities, with clearly defined Key Performance Indicators with yearly priorities and quarterly detailed planning
  • Define the strategic platform line definition and evaluate new business opportunities together with business partners and product owners through applying a design, data, compliance driven approach
  • Ensure location platform strategy fulfil the business purpose by accepting, refining, and prioritizing user stories, with clear business justifications and identified business benefits
  • Drive DA approvals for TOMs, solution designs, and data framework according to the respective change governance framework in close collaboration with regional product owners
  • Figure out annual budgets and roll-out activities with business partners and prioritize the Book of Work with the regional (digital) product owners
  • Drive the agile deliveries of location digital products in line with the roadmap through leading Sprint sessions, driving the release planning cycle, and ensuring transition from Change to Maintenance ownership
  • Translate requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results with the help of SME / work stream leads for integration, functional, performance and user acceptance testing sign off
  • Handle risk and ensure compliance proactively throughout the project delivery lifecycle, building a sustainable control environment by supporting the business in reducing operational risks, eliminating manual steps and sub-optimal practices
  • Ensure documentation as defined by APAC Change Governance for the program, deliveries, and financials
  • Builds a positive team culture through providing leadership to product specialists, set the direction of product evolution in line with the digitization strategy, and active communication with IT, PMO, Change, Business, and Management teams.

This is a leadership role that requires outstanding organization and verbal communication skills. You will play a crucial role in connecting clients, internal partners and project developers together – through elucidating, educating, and developing healthy, committed and long-lasting internal relationships within Credit Suisse.

Qualifications

You have a minimum of 15+ years’ experience in the Finance Industry preferably within Private Banking or Wealth Management, and 5+ years’ of leadership experience in Product Strategy or Product Management driving end to end delivery of technology solutions. You need to have a consistent track record in the Japan Market, ideally in private banking and product management of wealth management solutions, as well as a deep understanding of the market and regulatory environment in Japan.

  • Experience in agile development process and JIRA management
  • Ability to actively handle agile project progress, broaden and deepen domain knowledge in Scrum teams
  • Outstanding Platform and/or Product Management skills
  • Understand PB digital landscape complexity and can actively establish outstanding domain understandings and relevant end-to-end processes
  • Solid understanding of the local investment and wealth management workflow, including user problems, operation process and risks, regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Acute business approach
  • Ability to develop innovative solution recommendations
  • Make informed decisions and prioritization based on business, technical, and opportunity assessments
  • Knowledge in the evolving local regulatory landscape and familiarity with key development impacting private banking, investment or wealth management business
  • Demonstrated passion for digital change management across process enhancements and new businesses with solid execution and consistency
  • Outstanding leadership qualities in handling multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams and building a collaborative team culture
  • Outstanding influencing and interpersonal skills to facilitate cooperate across different levels of the organization and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and with senior management
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Problem structuring, logical thinking and story lining essentials to effectively engage partners and address cross-divisional teams
  • Ensure quantifiable and qualitative benefits are identified and committed by the business partners
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in confidential matters
