Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes after Academy Program you will work toward completing?
Associate Partner Business Manager is assigned to a specific geography and/or segment and is responsible for the relationship with our business partners (System Integrators, Distributors, Service Providers, OEMs) within that territory.
Success in the role over 6-12 months:
Within 90 days, understanding the history, vision and strategy of VMware. You will be enhancing your knowledge, learning VMware’s elevator pitch and achieve VMware Sales Professional. You will be sharing ideas with your peers and broader ecosystem to support and grow the business.
Within 180 days, you will be meeting business partners and supporting the development of customer centric value propositions that will transform a partner’s business. You will be in the field facilitating collaborative engagements with your business partners to support greater revenue streams. Help bring a strategy focus and best practices to support sustainable growth.
Within & beyond 360 days, you will become a key partner advocate when communicating within VMware with a view towards developing a new business partnership approach across all aspects of VMware solutions. Influencing and aligning resources to support your business to achieve greater outcomes and meeting your sales target.
Your main goal is to achieve revenue targets through your partner ecosystem where applicable. Also based on your deep understanding of VMware channel program, you should leverage to increase partner engagement and profitability.
This dynamic, field-based role develops and implements selling strategies for VMware products solutions and services through VMware channel partners, thereby growing their revenue. You will build sustainable business practices and foster strategic relationships across VMware through co-selling engagements.
The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?
Understand VMware channel partner programs and able to educate internal and external stake holders.
Identify profile and develop key strategic partnerships, tailored to partner capability and coverage.
Driving joint business plan with partner executives, execute the mutually agreed business plans with all levels within partner organisations.
Manage all partner tiers, motions, critical issues, and performance, and help drive strategic investments to further partner enablement. Develop go-to-market strategy and activate partners.
Engage select partners in active deals for solution validation, proof of concept, and services opportunities to ensure customer value realization.
Improve customer experience by facilitating successful co-selling and services engagements, resulting in increased customer satisfaction.
Exhibits credibility and executive presence, influencing and instilling confidence at all executive and management levels.
What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like?
The role would be reporting into Eric Chow, Director of Partners Business, ASEAN who leads a team of Partner Business Managers across Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and Philippines. He first joined VMware as a Partner Business Manager and has been with VMware for 11 years bringing a focus to partner transformation, individual career development and team culture. It is a small and united team, and we work cohesively together to achieve results as One VMware to help our business partners in accelerating their digital transformation journey.
