Schneider Electric has an opportunity for aProgram ManagerII to support our North America customer programs. This individualwillreside within the North American Regional Application Center.
The ProgramManager is responsible for achieving the project’s objectives. S/he works closely with the Project Sponsor and Project Management Team to define the project objectives, create a plan for and executing the plan to achieve those objectives. The ProgramManager has a working knowledge of the technical and organizational environments in which the project deliverables are created and in which they will be used. The ProgramManager must be an excellent communicator at all levels within the project environment, be proactive, exhibit strong leadership qualities and be able to adapt to a dynamic and potentially geographically disbursed project environment.
The role of the Program Manager is tolead the programand coordinate all Business Unit’s(BUs) relateda StrategicCustomeraccountto ensure customer satisfaction and on-time delivery.
TheProgram Manager’s main responsibilities includebut are not limited to:
Responsible for meeting the scope, schedule,resource plansand budget commitments reflected in the Project Management Plan.
Lead the project management team in developing and managing the Project Management Plan within the constraints established and approved by the Project Sponsor.
Implement and enforce change control over project scope, schedule,resourcesand budget.
Negotiate with functional managers and/or organizational management to obtain adequate resources with appropriate skills to staff the project team.
Manage the timely resolution of issues, including the escalation of issues that are outside of the project team’s scope of responsibility.
Continually identify and proactively manage project risks & issues, ensure execution of corrective action plans up to closure.
Monitor the project and report/present the project status to the management on aregularbasis.
Large projects, regional or global projects that require a high need for coordination and leadership
Leadin internal and external quality meetings
Work with BU specific ServiceOrganizationto help them understand forecast and staffing requirements
Develop content and presentBU specific input for Monthly/Quarterly/Annual Business reviews
Hold monthly BU specific project reviews with execution team to ensure projects are on-track
Ensure workflow delineation between front end (commercial), Engineering (technical) & Project Management Teams (Execution).
Main point of escalation for all BU specific execution issues (both internally & externally)
Work with manufacturing to validate capacity for customer forecast
Manage Project Manager Utilization to ensure allocation doesn’t continuously exceed 100%
Hold at minimum, bi-weekly 1 on 1’s with Project Managers as “check-in’s”
Hold weekly BU Execution Team meetings to have high level reviews of projects and another check-in point
The potential candidate shallalsodemonstrate certain skills to deliver quality results within set timeframes, including:

- Written and verbal communication skills
- Cost control and budgeting skills
- Teamwork and motivational skills
- Organizational and multitasking skills
- Bachelor of Arts/Science degree.
- 8 years project management experience.
- PMP certification or working knowledge of PMI methodologies is a plus
- Possessstrong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Possessstrong communications skills, verbal and written
- Possessstrong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
