As a team, we also help influence the overall strategic direction of the company by supporting the top management with safety insights and advisory. Successful candidates will work on multi-dimensional and cross-functional projects, with our regional teams and external partners to tackle real-time issues, to deliver the safest experience for all our users on our platform. Get to know the role: Platform safety is Grab’s number one priority and you will be required to manage and influence stakeholders across the different functions and business verticals, both existing and emerging, to ensure that we deliver a safe experience for all users. Successful candidates will work on multi-dimensional and cross-functional projects to tackle real-time issues. Platform safety is not to be confused with workplace/occupational health and safety. We are focused on our external users – from drivers to passengers; merchants to consumers – and we seek to create a safer everyday for all of them as Grab grows to become an everyday superapp. The day-to-day activities : Operationalize strategic processes/changes and leveraging on tools to automate manual operations Act as a Business Owner to new products that are being launched and provide valuable insights on how a product should be rolled out (eg. when/how/who to roll out the product to) Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across Grab (Strategy Team, Customer Experience, Grab Driver Centre Team, Public Relations Team, etc) Support any ad hoc tasks assigned by the team Go on-ground to further understand the pain points of our users Make sense of data on user behavior and providing sound insights on issues and potential improvements on driver-partners, merchant-partners, and passengers safety The must-haves: An analytical mindset to identify and critically analyze quantitative and qualitative patterns that are associated with safety trends. The ability to present data comprehensively and accurately, with the drive to execute on actionable findings. The breadth of thought to develop a variety of complex policies and procedures with minimal guidance to prevent and mitigate safety risks. Excellent problem solving/decision making, communication, and interpersonal skills. A strong judgment and moral compass. The flexibility to work cross-functionally, independently, or virtually in a minimally structured and fast-paced environment. Self-motivated to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and to meet deadlines. Outstanding spoken and written communication skills. Program and Project Management skills to execute different initiatives and see them through with different stakeholders in the organization and on the platform.
