As a Regional Sales Director for Spain you will be responsible for leading and managing sales within your region. Your main task is to strategize and execute plans within the region within the agreed timeframe with a focus on developing new products on client’s specifications and budget requirements. You will report to the Vice President of Sales for EMEA, and work closely together with the Sales Team members and other Footprint teams.
Responsibilities also include:

  • Plan, focus and target markets and customers for new products that do not exist yet and need to be developed. This process will require engineering time and close collaboration with the client;
  • Execute the regional sales plan, gain market share and create added value;
  • Ensure a profitable growth of Footprint products which is based on the sales of existing-, customized- or co-designed products;
  • Build and lead an outstanding regional sales team;
  • Plan autonomously visits to the main stakeholders, our facilities and international fairs;
  • Manage necessary support processes by close interface between internal stakeholders and client’s stakeholders;
  • Work with Finance to properly apply technical information in project financing models (expense forecasting, performance forecasting, pricing tools);
  • Act as an ambassador for our products and a fierce believer in a healthier world without plastics.

Requirements

Your qualifications

  • Passionate about creating a better world and want to be part of a company that makes you proud;
  • Masters level education preferred within the area of Sales, Business Development or Marketing;
  • Strong affinity with sustainable development and (bio-based) technology;
  • 5+ years of experience as a highly valued sales leader, preferably within the packaging industry, fmcg or retail;
  • Segment experience in Retail, QSR and at least 1 of the following meat processing, dairy, fresh produce, SSC;
  • An international mindset and willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.

  • Ability to build, motivate and lead a team;
  • You like to take initiative, you are hands on and you lead by example showing drive and enthusiasm;
  • Master of value based selling;
  • Excellent communication and negotiating skills;
  • Understanding of the technical, financial and contractual aspects of development sales cycles ;
  • Can quickly gain trust and respect and is able to establish and maintain relationships;
  • Experience with customer stakeholder management and customer network building;
  • Fluent in English and Spanish;
  • You live in the Madrid or Barcelona area;
  • Good Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint);
  • Self-starter, target oriented, sales agility, adaptiveness, curiosity, willingness to learn, team-worker, creative, innovative, problem-solving skills;
