Drive key initiatives and market share growth of Mersen products to Distributors and MRO accounts in the designated territory.

Field based position within a multifunction sales organization. Develop and execute territory sales strategy to include distribution and MRO conversions, new product launches, new market penetration and new partner development. Must maintain consistent, quality support to customers, follow and develop new sales leads, meet sales volume objectives, coordinate technical support, and intervene in matters impacting customer satisfaction. Schedule sales calls, assist customers and Manufacturers Reps with training, provide input to the demand process, develop regional budget, manage sales expenses, and support product launches. Provide market information and sales forecast to sales management and ensure that sales administration responsibilities are completed in a timely and accurate manner. Represent Mersen at selected industry events.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Manage Manufacturers Representatives to ensure that regional goals are achieved

Provide professional technical support to field as required

Prepare Marketing Plan for assigned region encompassing markets addressed and targeted, Rep activities, distribution direction, pricing, literature/promotion/trade shows required, sales and expense budgets

Conduct professional seminars in assigned regions both requested by end user or as promoted to the specific account. Provide in-house fuse school training

Conduct market research on an on-going basis and advise Management regarding new product opportunities

Lead the territory sales planning process with Manufacturers Reps to achieve sales goals and position for growth

Utilize salesforce for customer sales tracking for internal use

Develop sales forecast and provide early visibility of significant opportunities

Grow all aspects of assigned territory in line with budget

Control expenses for assigned region

Contribute to the development of annual sales strategy and action plans

Maintain and develop superior relationships with customer base

Manage accounts, call reports and opportunity pipeline through CRM (Salesforce)

Minimum Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Electrical Technology

5-7 years minimum experience in a technical sales or marketing position, preferably in the electrical industry

Market knowledge, experience and contacts

Familiarity with the customers in the territory

Experience in managing Manufacturers Reps

Technical knowledge in electrical field

Excellent interpersonal and communications skills

Excellent presentation and public speaking skills

Ability to use Microsoft Office and Salesforce.com

Willing to travel to support region initiatives
