Accountable for operational/financial metrics and overall business results of practice. Responsible for maintaining strategic direction, ensuring profitable growth of the practice, quality of consulting delivery, and maintaining customer referenceability. Develops strategy and plans to successfully implement operational policies and achieve business objectives. Accountable for managing and growing a significant revenue stream and customer base. Typically manages multiple first line managers and/or senior level individual contributors. Resolves staffing issue in complex engagements. May serve as advisor or project sponsor role for moderately complex engagements.

10+ years of experience relevant to this position including 5 years of consulting experience and 2 years of project management leadership experience. Direct line Management experience including project, people, customer, financial management preferred. Product, technology or industry expertise relevant to the practice focus. Ability to develop and maintain relationships at the executive level. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Ability to travel as needed.

Summary:

We are growing! NetSuite Professional Services is seeking a dynamic Practice Director to build our South American Shared Resource Team in Brazil. This is a tremendous opportunity to build a practice from the ground up and be part of something exciting.

This practice is the employee development engine for our consulting practices, focused on transitioning talent from our formal enablement programs into productive individual contributor roles. The Practice Director has the primary responsibility to build and lead a world class team within the company’s premier business unit. This involves driving planned headcount growth, inspiring and leading our people, retaining top talent, achieving utilization and hours contribution targets, and driving customer success and retention leading to top line growth, client referenceability and profit.

Responsibilities include:

  • Hire and develop talent; drive time-to-productivity for talent
  • Provide leadership, direction and coaching to a large professional services team
  • Manage performance management processes for the aligned professional services team
  • Provide day-to-day leadership to other Professional Services Managers and Enablement Leads by optimizing processes related to project staffing, assessing and developing consultant skills, and managing client escalations
  • Develop and drive strategic and operational plans for the practice through effective planning, collaboration, communication, engagement and team leadership
  • Attain revenue goals (through billable hours) and maximize professional service profitability through accurate forecasting and effective management of the cost center
  • Drive the continuous evolution of Professional Services through incorporation of best practices, consistent, high quality and repeatable solutions, and by building a strong professional services team and brand
  • Serve as a change advocate; drive collaboration across the practice and NetSuite GBU

Preferred Qualifications/Skills include:

  • 10+ years of demonstrated success in building the business and managing the Profit & Loss of an application solution professional services practice, ideally for high volume consulting and/or software providers
  • Experience with a management consulting firm, leading systems integrator or the professional services practice of a leading software firm is a plus
  • Strong implementation and delivery experience – ideally of Cloud based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application solutions; NetSuite or Oracle platform experience strongly preferred – though competitive offerings will be considered
  • Specific experience consulting to and/or working within emerging/high volume growth markets
  • Demonstrated success as a customer facing consultant; experience in translating customer business requirements into workable software solutions
  • An authentic, dynamic, engaging and motivating leader who has led medium to large teams, effectively managed volume and scale, and generated significant annual revenue
  • Proven executive level customer engagement skills and track record of delivering, deploying and implementing large enterprise SaaS or cloud-based technologies
  • Demonstrated success in driving a very high level of customer standards with impeccable attention to detail and support metrics
  • A track record of enabling and developing the skills and careers of direct reports
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in English, verbal and written
  • Ability to travel as needed; up to 25%
