The job is accountable for: Providing leadership to achieve health and safety excellence, ensuring all staff and subcontractors understand ERM’ s commitment to safe working and the importance of adherence to ERM’s and client ‘s safety management requirements Championing a ‘client first’ culture – working with project PIC’s to ensure that the client is provided at every opportunity with added value through all stages of the project life cycle (from proposal to project closure) Achieving year on year sales growth, budgeted operational KPI’s including Net Revenue, RON, PBBIT, DSO, and FTE’s Ensuring the appropriate mix of resources with the required skills are in place to deliver growth targets The control of operational risk. This includes subcontractors, commercial, health and safety, regulatory, labour laws and contracts Fulfilling the duties of a Director or equivalent of a legal entity with support from ERM Legal department. This includes: Working with the appropriate support function i.e. Legal, Tax, Finance and HR to ensure local legal and fiscal obligations are met Ensuring all commitments made by the local ERM legal entity are in line with ERM Global Policy Corporate Governance Approval Levels People Leadership and Development Build and maintain appropriate people management, development and retention culture (e.g., setting expectations, performance management, development planning, appropriate supervisory skills, training, succession planning etc.) among direct reports. Identify the development needs of direct reports and coach them to address these needs. Build relationships with other Partners in the regions and contribute to the leadership of the Japan business Assist regional leaders in risk management (including financial, quality, contractual and safety risk) of proposals, projects and deliverables. Create and maintain on-going communication processes with all levels of employees in office and communicate behavioral expectations, key strategic themes and office initiatives. Client Relationship and Business Opportunities Develop and implement a strategic plan to grow the Peruvian Operations with the support of the ANDEAN Managing Partner and regional commercial teams. The plan should be aligned with regional and group level initiatives and support the business in meeting the targets and objectives for growth in LAC Undertake, promote and encourage collaboration and the use of cross-company, regional, and group resources to achieve the strategic plan Develop and maintain client relationships in Peru and LAC region. Develop and foster internal relationships with Partners and Key Client representatives in other regions to win and develop work. Business Results and Performance Culture Drive and actively manage the successful financial performance of the team as well as support the ANDEAN Managing Partner in regional initiatives Provide input to the development of the annual budget and sales plan for the team with appropriate assistance from the ANDEAN Managing Partner and Regional Commercial Lead. QUALIFICATIONS: Proven P&L; leadership history in an EHS (Environment, Health and safety) consulting services firm. Background of consistently achieving / exceeding annual revenue and profit targets via innovative and inspirational leadership combined with entrepreneurial flexibility. Built, guided, managed, mentored, motivated and rewarded teams while setting and delivering revenue / profit targets. Minimum 10 years of experience in the Peruvian environmental consulting market. Strong understanding of Peruvian market working with any or all of the following industrial sectors: Mining, Power, Oil & Gas, Chemical, Finance. Work experience in challenging environments (jungle, high altitudes, off-shore), evaluating and managing the risks associated to such activities. The control of operational risk. This includes subcontractors, commercial, health and safety, regulatory, labour laws and contracts. Big-picture thinker and successful track record of building trusted relationships with target clients. Possesses teamwork, communications and management skills needed for success in a rapidly growing, matrixed and changing organization. Reputation for being highly ethical and working very collaboratively.
